  1. First, take out the leftovers of grits and place them in an All-Clad Nonstick Pot.
  2. Next, add the bone broth and chives and warm through.
  3. Then, turn off the heat and pour the grits onto a nonstick baking sheet. Let it cool to room temperature, and then refrigerate it for 30 minutes to 1 hour to cool completely.
  4. Finally, using a biscuit or empanada cutter, cut the cooled grits into patties. Continue this step until all of the grits have been used.

Pour the grits onto a baking sheet, let it cool to room temperature, and then place it in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to set.

From Freshly-Made Grits

  1. First, pour the bone broth and salt into an All-Clad Nonstick Pot and bring it to a boil.
  2. Next, pour in the grits and stir to prevent clumping.
  3. Then, reduce the heat to a simmer and cook the grits for 15-20 minutes. You may need to stir the grits from time to time to prevent clumping.
  4. Next, add 1 tbsp. of finely sliced chives into the grits and stir.
  5. Then, turn off the heat and pour the grits onto a nonstick baking sheet. Let it cool to room temperature, and then refrigerate it for 30 minutes to 1 hour to cool completely.
  6. Finally, using a biscuit or empanada cutter, cut the cooled grits into patties. Continue this step until all of the grits have been used.

“Frying” the Grit Cakes

  1. First, pour Gluten-Free or Organic Flour onto a plate. Lightly coat each side of the Grit Cakes with the flour and then place them into the basket of an Air Fryer.
  2. Next, place 3 to 4 Grit Cakes into the basket of the Air Fryer.
  3. Then, close the Air Fryer and “fry” the cakes for 5 minutes at 380 degrees Fahrenheit.
  4. Next, open the Air Fryer basket, flip the cakes over, and “fry” for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Finally, sprinkle the other tbsp. of finely sliced chives over the top and serve hot.
