Sourdough French Bread Crostini Ingredients

Creating the Tomato Bruschetta Mixture

  1. First, slice and dice the Roma tomatoes.
  2. Next, place the diced tomatoes into a bowl.
  3. Then, mince the garlic cloves into the tomatoes.
  4. Next, pour the Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar into the tomatoes and garlic.
  5. Then, roll the basil leaves tightly and slice them thinly. Add the sliced basil to the tomatoes and garlic mixture.
  6. Finally, cover the Tomato Bruschetta mixture with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. This will help all the flavors combine.
    • Note: you can also let this sit in the refrigerator for longer if you want to make this in advance.

Note: You can make the Tomato Bruschetta mixture ahead of time and let it marinate in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve it. The longer the ingredients sit together the tastier it will be!

Creating the Herby Garlic Crostini Slices

  1. First, slice the Sourdough French Bread into 1-inch in width slices on the diagonal.
  2. Next, place the slices of Sourdough French Bread onto a nonstick baking sheet or a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Then, melt the butter in a microwavable-safe bowl. Add the Italian Seasoning and minced garlic cloves.
  4. Next, using a pastry brush, brush the Herby Garlic Butter onto each slice of Sourdough French Bread.
  5. Then, sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the top of each slice of Sourdough French Bread.
  6. Finally, turn the oven on Broil and broil the crostinis for 5-6 minutes or until lightly toasted and golden brown.

Broil the Crostinis Until Golden Brown and Toasted

Finally, turn the oven on Broil and broil the crostinis for 5-6 minutes or until lightly toasted and golden brown.

Assembling the Tomato Bruschetta

  1. First, remove the Tomato Bruschetta mixture from the refrigerator and stir it with a spoon.
  2. Next, take a toasted crostini slice and place it on a serving platter or plate (depending on how you wish to serve these).
  3. Then, place approximately 2 tbsp. of the Tomato Bruschetta mixture on top of the crostini slice. Repeat this step until all crostini slices have been used.
  4. Finally, serve the Tomato Bruschetta immediately or at room temperature, and enjoy!

  • If you do not have time to make Sourdough French Bread, you can buy storebought French Bread instead.
  • To change up the Tomato Bruschetta, you can also use Heirloom Tomatoes.
