Venison Taco Bowls Ingredients
- Ground Venison
- Siete Taco Seasoning
- Sweet Potatoes
- Ground Cinnamon
- Salt and Pepper
- Avocado Oil
- Tomatoes
- Mixed Greens
- Microgreens
- Avocados
- Salsa Verde
- Other Taco Toppings (Optional)

Preparing the Sweet Potatoes
- First, place the peeled and diced sweet potatoes in a mixing bowl.
- Next, drizzle 1/2 tbsp. of Avocado Oil on top of them and season with cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
- Then, toss the sweet potatoes in the seasoning to coat.
- Next, place the sweet potatoes into the air fryer and create a single layer.
- Note: If you have a smaller air fryer, you may have to work in batches. Alternatively, you can roast them in the oven at 375 for 20-25 minutes.
- Then, air fry the sweet potatoes at 400 degrees for 20 minutes, or until the desired consistency.
- Note: For taco recipes, I typically like my sweet potatoes to have a slight crunch to them. This takes the place of tortilla chips. However, this is a personal preference – so cook them how you like.
- Finally, remove the sweet potatoes from the air fryer, and let them cool slightly.

Cooking the Ground Venison
- While the sweet potatoes are cooking in the air fryer, drizzle the 1/2 tbsp. of Avocado Oil into a nonstick All-Clad skillet and heat over medium heat.
- Next, add the ground Venison (or any other lean meat). Break up the meat with a spatula.
- Then, add the packet of Siete Taco Seasoning over the ground Venison. Stir to combine.
- Next, cook the ground Venison until cooked through (or no longer pink); about 10 minutes.
- Finally, set the cooked meat aside to cool, slightly.

Assembling and Serving the Venison Taco Bowls
- Once the sweet potatoes and Venison are cooked, it’s time to assemble the Venison Taco Bowls!
- Take out a serving dish, such as a bowl or plate.
- Then, place about a cup of mixed greens (I used mixed field greens and microgreens for my base) into the bottom of the bowl.
- Next, add the diced or sliced tomatoes, sliced avocado, air-fried sweet potatoes, and ground Venison.
- Then, drizzle the top with salsa verde (or your favorite salsa) and hot sauce.
- Finally, the Venison Taco Bowls are ready to enjoy!

Storing the Leftovers
To store any Venison Taco Bowl leftovers, I would recommend storing the sweet potatoes and cooked Venison separately from the taco-toppings. Then, on the day you’d like to re-assemble the leftovers, you can combine them.

Finally, the leftover sweet potatoes and cooked Venison will stay fresh, in the refrigerator, in an airtight container, for up to 1 week.
