Preparing the Baking Pan

  1. First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Next, prepare a 9 X 13-inch baking dish by spraying it with baking spray.
  3. Then, line it with an oversized piece of parchment paper (this will help lift the bars out after baking).
  4. Finally, set the baking pan aside.

These bars are made using Sourdough Discard, Sprouted Rolled Oats, freshly picked blueberries, and a few other ingredients.
  1. First, in a large mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients except for the butter.
  2. Next, using a fork or Sourdough Whisk, stir to combine.
  3. Then, grate the butter into the flour mixture.
  4. Finally, using your hands, combine the grated butter with the mixture until it resembles coarse crumbles.
    • Note: If the mixture is too dry, add a tbsp of cold water.

  1. First, press 1/2 of the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  2. Next, spoon the Homemade Blueberry Filling over the mixture and spread evenly.
  3. Finally, sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the blueberry layer.

  1. First, place the Blueberry Oatmeal Crumble Bars into the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  2. Next, place the pan on top of a wire, cooling rack.
  3. Then, allow the bars to cool for 10-15 minutes prior to cutting.
  4. Finally, remove the bars by lifting the parchment paper out of the pan, slice it into even squares, and then serve.

  • 1/4 tsp. Pink Salt
  • 1 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1 tbsp. Sourdough Discard
  • 1 tbsp. Cold Water
  • 1/4 c. Unsweetened Applesauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Mexican Vanilla
  • 1 c. Unsalted Butter, Grated
