  1. In a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer fitted with a Paddle attachment, cream the butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Next, add the other ingredients (except the flour). Mix until combined.
    • Note: Reserve 1 tbsp. of Chai spice to sprinkle over the tops of the baked cookies.
  3. Then, add the flour, one cup-at-a-time. Mix until just combined.
  4. Finally, the Chai Cream Cheese Cookie dough is ready!

Cream the Butter, Cream Cheese, and Sugar Together

In a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer fitted with a Paddle attachment, cream the butter, cream cheese, and sugar together until light and fluffy.

Add the Other Ingredients; Reserve 1 Tbsp. of Chai Spice

Next, add the other ingredients (except the flour). Reserve 1 tbsp. of Chai spice for after the cookies are baked.
Mix until combined.
Then, add the flour, one cup-at-a-time. Mix until just combined.
Finally, the Chai Cream Cheese Cookie dough is ready!

Preparing the Chai Cream Cheese Cookies for Baking

  1. First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Next, fill a small bowl with warm water.
  3. Then, prepare the baking sheets by lining with parchment paper or silicone sheets.
  4. Next, using a cookie scoop, scoop the dough out of the mixing bowl.
  5. Then, wet your hands and roll into a ball of dough.
    • Note: This dough is super sticky, so wetting your hands prevents the dough from sticking to your hands.
  6. Finally, place the cookies about 2 inches apart on the baking sheets.

Baking and Cooling the Chai Cream Cheese Cookies

  1. Once the oven is preheated, place the sheets of cookie dough in.
  2. Next, bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned on the bottom and top.
  3. Then, remove the baked cookies from the oven and sprinkle the remaining Chai spice on top.
  4. Finally, allow the cookies to cool, on the baking sheets, for 2-3 minutes; transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese, Room Temperature
  • 2 c. Organic Cane Sugar
  • 4 tsp. Mexican Vanilla
  • 3 1/2 c. Organic Milled Flour
  • 1 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp. Pink Salt
  • 1 c. Sourdough Discard
  • 2 tbsp. Organic Tangerine Juice
  • 2 - 4 tbsp. Watkin's Chai Spice
