Seasoning the Steak

  1. First, remove the steak from the refrigerator and pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. Next, season the steak, all over, with Steak seasoning.
  3. Finally, let the seasoned, raw steak come to room temperature before cooking.
    • Note: Giving your meat time to come to room temperature allows for an even cook.

First, remove the steak from the refrigerator and pat dry with a paper towel.

Season with Steak Seasoning

Next, season the steak, all over, with Steak seasoning. Finally, let the seasoned, raw steak come to room temperature before cooking. Note: Giving your meat time to come to room temperature allows for an even cook.

Preparing the Steak

  1. First, preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Once your meat has reached room temperature, preheat a Cast Iron Skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Next, drizzle the skillet with Avocado oil (or add a tablespoon of butter).
  4. Then, place the seasoned steak into the hot, Cast Iron Skillet. Sear on the first side for 2-3 minutes, then flip to the second side. Sear again for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Next, carefully place the skillet into the oven and cook for 4-5 minutes, or until medium rare (or your desired preparedness).
    • Note: If you like a medium-cooked steak, you’ll need to leave it in the oven for about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Finally, remove the steak from the oven and Cast Iron Skillet, and allow it to rest for about 2-3 minutes, on a cutting board.

    • Note: Slicing against the grain gives a more tender slice of meat.
  2. Next, place the thin slices of meat on a plate next to vegetables or on top of salad greens.
  3. Then, drizzle the Creamy Chimichurri Sauce over the top of the steak.
  4. Finally, serve immediately and enjoy!
