Instant Pot BBQ Beans Ingredients
- Dried, Navy Beans
- Dried, Pinto Beans
- Water
- Bourbon
- Kinder’s Hickory Molasses Seasoning
- Bacon
- White Onion
- Garlic Powder
- Primal Palate Ketchup
- Organic Maple Syrup
- Dijon Mustard
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- Molasses
- Liquid Smoke
- Salt and Pepper

Pressure Cooking the Beans
- First, in an Instant Pot, add the rinsed beans, 8 cups of water, and Kinder’s seasoning.
- Next, lock the lid into place and cook for 25 minutes on HIGH pressure.
- Then, allow for normal venting (i.e. don’t rush the venting process) for 15 minutes before releasing the remaining pressure.
- Finally, drain and rinse the beans, and then set aside. Wipe out the Instant Pot insert and return it to the appliance base.

Sauteing the Onions and Garlic Powder
- First, turn the Instant Pot to the SAUTE setting.
- Next, when the pot is hot, lightly spray it with Avocado Cooking Oil Spray.
- Then, add the bacon and SAUTE for 4-5 minutes or until crispy; stirring occasionally.
- Next, remove the cooked bacon with a slotted spoon, and set it on a paper-towel-lined plate to cool.
- Then, add the onions and garlic powder. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the onions become translucent and start to soften.
- Note: The bottom of your Instant Pot insert may be dark brown due to the cooking of the Bacon. It’s okay! It’ll all be stirred into the bean liquid in a moment.
- Finally, press the CANCEL button on the Instant Pot.

- Then, lock the lid into place and cook for 15 minutes on HIGH pressure.
- Next, release the pressure, remove the lid, and stir.
- Finally, serve immediately and enjoy!
