Ground Venison Nachos are a quick-and-easy meal for any busy day of the week. These nachos are made with lean, Venison, your favorite Queso, and other toppings that pack a punch of flavor.

Have you ever wondered the day before leaving for vacation, what should I cook tonight for dinner? That was me, tonight. I knew I needed to clean out the fridge a bit before leaving, but I wasn’t feeling overly inspired by the ingredients that remained.

Then, I remembered we had ground Venison! For those of you who have never had ground Venison, Venison is Deer Meat. It is lean, healthier for you, and does not have near as much fat as Beef.

My husband processes our Venison after each of his hunts during Hunting Season (the fall). We stockpile this meat for meals year-round, and it is a lifesaver when you’re looking for a quick meal to whip up in under 20 minutes.

The Nacho Ingredients
- Ground Venison (can also use lean ground Beef, Bison, Turkey, etc.)
- Siete Mild or Spicy Taco Seasoning
- Avocado Oil
- Siete Dip Chips
- Cheddar Cheese or Queso (or both if you’re my husband or toddler)
- Avocado Slices
- Black Olives or Pepperoncini Peppers
- Organic Salsa or Hot Sauce

Building the Nachos

- First, preheat a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the Venison.
- Pour the Siete Taco Seasoning over the Venison as it’s browning.
- Once the Venison has browned, turn the burner off and set the meat aside.
- Heat your Queso in the microwave for about 30-45 seconds.
- Assemble your nachos by arranging a layer of Siete Tortilla Chips on a plate. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top of the chips. Add the ground Venison on top. Spoon out a layer (or however much you want) of Queso over the meat. Heat in the microwave for about 30-45 seconds to get all the layers hot and melting together.
- Finally, top the nachos with Avocado slices, black olives or Pepperoncini peppers, and your favorite salsa or hot sauce.

Additional Tips
If you’re making these nachos for a family meal, you can also make them on a baking sheet. Essentially you’re building the same layers that you want hot on the baking sheet, putting them in the oven at 200-250 degrees for 5-10 minutes, and then adding the colder layers on top.

You can make the assembly child-friendly by having your child help “build” the nacho layers or adding their favorite toppings. My toddler currently is not a fan of Pepperoncini peppers or salsa, so she helped put Avocado slices and more cheese on top of her nachos after they came out of the microwave.
Have fun, be creative, and enjoy this quick-and-easy 20-minute meal!
