Turkey Lettuce Wraps Ingredients

Creating the Turkey Filling

  1. First, in a nonstick pan, add the oil, ground turkey, and seasonings.
  2. Next, cook the turkey until partially cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Then, add cabbage, mushrooms, and seasonings. Season with salt and pepper; stir to combine.
  4. Next, cook the vegetables and turkey until fully cooked through and the vegetables are softened; about another 8-10 minutes.
  5. Then, add the coconut aminos. Stir to combine.
  6. Finally, turn the heat off and remove the filling to cool to room temperature.

Assembling the Turkey Lettuce Wraps

  1. First, once the mixture has cooled to room temperature, remove the lettuce from the refrigerator.
  2. Next, gently pull apart the lettuce and place it on a plate or serving platter.
  3. Then, fill each lettuce “cup” with 1/4 – 1/2 cup of turkey and vegetable filling. Repeat until all of the lettuce wraps are filled.
  4. Finally, sprinkle each filled lettuce cup with freshly sliced green onions. Enjoy!

  • 2 - 4 Heads of Bibb or Butter Lettuce
  • 1 lb. Ground Turkey
  • 1 tsp. Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • 2 tsp. Garlic Powder or 2 Garlic Cloves, Minced
  • 1 tsp. Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 tbsp. Fresh Ground Ginger
  • 1 c. Shiitake Mushrooms, Minced
  • 2 Green Onions, Diced (Green and White)
  • 1/2 Green Cabbage, Thinly Sliced
  • 1/4 c. Coconut Aminos
