Instant Pot Apple Butter Pulled Pork is a deliciously sweet and savory dish combining the rich flavors of pork with the smooth, warmly-spiced essence of Apple Butter.

Imagine this: Tender, pressure-cooked pork shoulder is seasoned with a blend of spices and cooked until it’s so soft it falls apart effortlessly. Then, the real magic happens when the Apple Butter is added to the mix, infusing the meat with a subtly sweet and spiced flavor. Furthermore, the Apple Butter melds with the pork‘s juices, creating a luscious, slightly tangy sauce lathering each strand of meat.

Creating the Instant Pot Apple Butter Pulled Pork
- First, in a mixing bowl, combine the sugar and seasonings.
- Next, rub the seasoning onto the pork butt or shoulder, coating it all over.
- Then, add the bone broth, Apple Butter, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine.
- Next, place the seasoned pork butt into the liquid mixture.
- Then, place the lid on the pot and make sure the pressure valve is in the sealing position.
- Next, select the MANUAL/PRESSURE COOK button and set the time for 90-120 minutes.
- Note: If your pork butt is more than 5 lbs, it will need longer in the pressure cooker.
- Then, when the pot beeps to let you know it’s finished, let the pot naturally release the pressure for 10 minutes before switching the pressure valve to the venting position. Once the steam has released and the pressure lock has disengaged, open the lid and remove the pork.
- Finally, place the pork in a bowl and shred it with forks removing any overly fatty pieces. Serve it with the Apple Butter jus or Kinder’s Hickory BBQ sauce.
