Pork Carnitas Ingredients

Instant Pot Pork Carnitas

Pressure Cooking the Pork Carnitas

  1. First, pour the liquid into the pot of an Instant Pot pressure cooker.
  2. Next, add the pork butt.
  3. Then, pour the packet of Siete’s Carnitas seasoning over the pork butt.
  4. Next, place the lid on top of the pot and seal it.
  5. Then, turn the Instant Pot to the pressure cook setting for 60 minutes, and click start.
  6. Finally, when the timer goes off, let the Instant Pot naturally release.

First, pour the liquid into the pot of an Instant Pot pressure cooker. Next, add the pork butt. Then, pour the packet of Siete’s Carnitas seasoning over the pork butt.

Seal the Lid and Pressure Cook for 60 Minutes

Next, place the lid on top of the pot and seal it. Then, turn the Instant Pot to the pressure cook setting for 60 minutes, and click start.

Finally, when the timer goes off, let the Instant Pot naturally release.

Shredding the Instant Pot Pork Carnitas

  1. Once the Instant Pot naturally releases, carefully remove the pork butt.
    • Note: The pressure cooking setting may cause the pork butt to be extremely tender and fall off the bone. If this happens, you can skil the shredding of the meat step.
  2. Next, place the pork butt onto a cutting board and shred the meat using two forks or meat shredders.
  3. Finally, place the shredded carnitas back into the liquid and stir to combine the meat and the cooking liquid.

  1. Once the pork carnitas have had a chance to soak in the cooking liquid, pull out 1/4 c. of shredded meat and place it onto a warmed tortilla or on top of a bed of greens.
  2. Next, slice avocados and top the carnitas.
  3. Then, add lettuce, cilantro, a squeeze of lime, and your favorite hot sauce such as Fxking Hot Sauce.
  4. Finally, enjoy the Instant Pot Pork Carnitas!

Storing the Leftovers

  • 4-6 lb. Pork Butt
  • 1/2 c. Organic Orange Juice
  • 14 oz. Beef or Chicken Bone Broth
  • 1 Packet Siete Carnitas Seasoning
  • 2 Avocados, Sliced
  • 1/4 c. Cilantro
  • 1 c. Shredded Lettuce
  • 1 Lime, Quartered
  • 2-4 tbsp. Everde Fxking Hot Sauce

Instructions
