Who doesn’t love a good breakfast sandwich? A flaky biscuit wrapped around a juicy sausage patty, melty cheese, crispy hashbrowns, and (if you don’t have an egg allergy) a fried egg. Yum!

This recipe was inspired by that dreamy, flavorful, breakfast sandwich that so many of us know and love. This is the perfect breakfast for any day, but it can especially come in handy on those busy days when you’re grabbing and dashing out the door.

This recipe includes allergen-friendly ingredients such as Ground Venison, Jimmy Dean Breakfast Sausage, and Sourdough Discard Drop Biscuits. Ground Venison is Deer Meat which is categorized in the family of Game Meats.

Game Meat is typically any meat from any land animal that is hunted for food. The Ingredients

Crafting the Breakfast Sandwich

  1. First, make the Venison Breakfast Sausage Patties (or heat up 6-12 patties if the sausage patties were previously made).
  2. Next, place the cooked patties on a clean plate lined with a paper towel to allow them to cool slightly and drain any excess fat.
  3. Finally, once the breakfast patties are all cooked, you can begin assembling the Jimmy Dean Breakfast Sandwiches.

Assembling the Jimmy Dean Breakfast Sandwiches

  1. First, take a prebaked Sourdough Discard Drop Biscuit, and cut it in half using a serrated knife.
  2. Next, take a Jimmy Dean and Venison patty and place it on the bottom half of the biscuit.
  3. Then, add a slice of cheese on top of the patty.
  4. Next, add a 1/4 c. cooked and crispy Hash Browns on top of the cheese.
  5. Then, add any additional toppings such as a fried egg (if you aren’t allergic).
  6. Finally, drizzle Yellow Bird Hot Sauce on top of the Hash Browns or fried egg. Then top the sandwich with the top part of the Sourdough Discard Drop Biscuit and dig in!

If you are not allergic to eggs, feel free to top the breakfast sandwich with a fried egg for an added layer of flavor and texture.

Storing the Jimmy Dean Breakfast Sandwiches

If you’re crafting these breakfast sandwiches to eat throughout the week, month, or more, here are a few ways to ensure their freshness as you store them.

  • Individually wrap each breakfast sandwich in plastic wrap and then foil; label with the date. Store in the freezer for up to 3 months. To heat up, simply remove the plastic wrap and foil. Place it in the oven at 200 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes or in the microwave for 1 minute.
  • Place the breakfast sandwiches in an airtight container and store them for up to 3 days in the refrigerator. To heat up, simply place it in the oven at 200 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 minutes or in the microwave for 1 minute
