The Squash, Kale, Gouda, and Hot Honey Sourdough Pizza is a unique and flavorful twist on classic pizza, combining sweet, savory, and spicy elements.

Furthermore, the base is a tangy Sourdough crust, baked to a golden crisp. Roasted slices of Delicata squash bring a natural sweetness, paired with earthy sautéed Kale for balance. Creamy, slightly nutty Gouda cheese melts over the top, adding richness.

Finally, a drizzle of hot honey brings a hint of spice and sweetness tying the flavors together; creating a deliciously bold and unexpected combination.

Delicata Squash, Kale, Gouda, and Hot Honey Sourdough Pizza Ingredients
- Sourdough Pizza Dough
- Delicata Squash
- Kale
- Gouda
- Organic Hot Honey
- Organic Olive Oil
- Salt and Pepper
- Cornmeal
- Parmesan Cheese

Preparing to Bake the Sourdough Pizza Crust
- First, preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Next, place a Baking Steel or a Pizza Stone into the oven to preheat.
- Then, divide the Sourdough Pizza dough into quarters or halves.
- Note: Quarters are perfect for personal sized pizzas; halves are great for a few people to eat off.
- Next, dust a sheet of parchment paper with cornmeal.
- Note: This will help create a crunchier and crispier crust.
- Then, place the dough on top of the cornmeal dusted parchment paper. Using your fingers, press the dough into a thin crust.
- Note: The thinner you can make the pizza dough and/or crust, the better because it will “puff” in the oven.
- Finally, once the oven and stone are preheated, place the pizza dough onto the stove and par-bake for 5-8 minutes, or until lightly browned.

Assembling the Delicata Squash, Kale, Gouda, and Hot Honey Sourdough Pizza
- Once the Sourdough pizza dough has par-baked, remove it from the oven and set it aside to cool, slightly.
- Next, carefully lay the thin slices of Delicata Squash on top of the par-baked pizza crust. Season the squash with salt and pepper.
- Then, place half of the Gouda slices on top of the squash.
- Next, place the pieces of Kale over the squash. Lay the rest of the cheese on top of the Kale.
- Then, drizzle the Kale with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Finally, trickle the Hot Honey over the top of the pizza and around on top of the exposed crust.

Baking the Delicata Squash, Kale, Gouda, and Hot Honey Sourdough Pizza
- Place the Delicata Squash, Kale, Gouda, and Hot Honey Sourdough Pizza back into the preheated oven and onto the Bread or Pizza stone.
- Next, bake the pizza for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the vegetables are cooked.
- Note: If the Kale browns quicker than the crust bakes, carefully drape a foil tent over the top.
- Finally, remove the baked pizza from the oven and let it cool, slightly, before slicing.

Serving and Storing the Sourdough Pizza
- Once the pizza has cooled slightly, use a pizza cutter or a sharp knife to cut it into pieces to enjoy.
- Next, drizzle a little extra Hot Honey and/or sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top before devouring it.
- Finally, to store the leftovers, place the pizza in an airtight container and in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat it, place it in an Air Fryer for 8-10 minutes at 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
