  1. Create the Venison Picadillo or remove the container of leftovers from your refrigerator.
  2. Next, peel and chop the sweet potatoes into quarters.
  3. Then, place the sweet potatoes into a pot of cold water, and bring it to a boil over medium-high heat.
  4. Next, boil the sweet potatoes for about 15-20 minutes, or until fork tender. Drain and transfer them to a mixing bowl.
  5. Then, mash the sweet potatoes until a consistently smooth texture is achieved.
  6. Finally, mix in the cornstarch, Panko breadcrumbs, and seasoning, until the mixture represents a dough.

  2. Next, flatten the ball gently in the center. Fill it with 1-2 tablespoons of Venison Picadillo.
  3. Then, carefully form the potatoes around the filling.
    • Note: If needed, add a bit more of the potato dough to fully enclose the filling.
  4. Next, turn on the air fryer.
  5. Then, place them into the air fryer and cook for 12-15 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • Note: Make sure you fry in a single layer. Therefore, you may have to work in batches to fry these.
  6. Finally, place the “fried” Venison Papas Rellenas onto a wire rack or paper towel-lined plate.
